@HouMidMain First Thursday for @UrbanHarvest flyer design - one of my fav area nonprofits. I was v. pleased to have a chance to draw all these luscious Texas fruits and flowers! Hope to see you out on Thursday. :]

Inevitable Sailor Moon fanart has appeared! The Black Moon saga is my faaaaaavorite Sailor Moon arc, and Prince Diamond was my NUMBER ONE SUGOI BISHIE. But their outfits are way too anime for me to draw! So I updated their style a bit using color and style cues from spring 2013 versace and streetwear shots from fashion week for Diamond and Sapphire, but for Emerald I just winged it. Also Sapphire is now hispanic and/or desi, which I think suits him.

ALSO I had to give them a trippy backdrop ‘cuz they’re hanging out in the ~**nEgAvErSe**~

Recently @bianquitaferrer put me in touch with @HouMidMain and I’ve been doing design for their First Thursday events - which in a heartbreaking admission I still haven’t been able to attend! (hoping to for the upcoming…) But this is a great area of Houston, and I’ve enjoyed watching it grow. So you Houstonians should definitely attend this upcoming event, and do take a closer look at the map detail to get acquainted with the area! Thanks Lane for asking me to come on board for this!

Mid Main Houston

By the time you read this I will be in Austin celebrating the wedding of my old friend and roommate Jess! In honor of the day, So Excited has decided to thrust his head through a wreath! Contgratulations Jess :’)

SO a little while ago @JoeMathlete contacted me in a tizzy needing a portrait ASAP of himself and his super good lookin’ girlfriend for an anniversary, so I obliged and ended up being really happy with the result! Thanks for thinking of me Joe, glad you guys liked it!

Giant Battle Monster asked me back in November to create the album art for their new release, Giant Battle Monster vs. The Subterranean Antler Man - it ended up being a very ambitious project for me, and I had to push myself to do a lot of things I usually shy away from. So I think it turned out well and the album is really dope so you should have a listen!!

THE EVENT IS NOW AT MANDELL PARK!  Don’t show up at Menil Park because no one will be there!!!  Well, people will be there, just not the cool people.  Hehehe…
